Fun toy project

I have a friend of mine that splashed a mold off of one of those, Would be cheaper for me to just have him make me one. They are cool and run well with a little motor, That willl make a fun project for someone with some extra time.
 
It looks like a Very early Cougar Cub. The Production Cubs had a Step in the tunnel which let them squat at the rear and never really made any lift. The full tunnel (like the one pictured) is the way to go, they where faster with the same power.

If I lived down there I would be bidding on it. I was hopeing someone on here from around there would see it and want it, there have been a few threads about them in the last year or so.
 
Still at only 61.00 I wish I could put it in a box and ship it here. I know it could be done but that would drive the price way over what it would be worth. Someone down there needs to snatch it up.

Depends on if you can do it all yourself and how many deals you can find on motor contolls ect. I don't think the hull would take much, I have a 14 yr old boy that would be in heaven with something like that, and that would be priceless. I just hate to see these things go to waste.

I remember right after I had my barmitzvah I had a bunch of cash sitting in a bank account just burning a hole in my pocket. First wanted a go kart (still do!) and then I wanted a boat like that. Still wish I would have bought something like that!

Just to dam far away to make it worth it.
 
Here are some pics of the Mini cat that a friend of mine has made from a Cougar Cub that he splashed a mold off of. He has some available and would make more if people have an interest. Built 5 already and they are made pretty light weight and sturdy

What kind of power do they run on those things, and how do they perform?
 
I had one of these as a kid.....Dad bought it for "me" but he seemed to like running it himself, we had a 25 Merc outboard on it...my FIRST go fast.
