Yeah, I don't see a problem either. Good schools, low crime, etc. Who cares about the skin color. Give me a safe neighborhood.
It looks like the crime is coming from the whites... In 2004, arsonists leveled 35 homes under construction in an upscale subdivision that had attracted many black professionals. Five white men were convicted.

At least the people moving in to Charles County have careers, and at least people are moving IN during the last 8 years.
All of our professionals left, and left cheap and empty homes behind.

You could have written the same article about 30 years ago about Prince George's County. Of course now the affluent are moving from there because it is a true "diverse" sh!thole in many areas. They have pumped all kinds of "minority assistance" cash in there and still it goes to crap. Until "minorities" have respect for other people and stop practicing the "new racism" the destruction of urban and suburban areas will continue. Case in point - there is a huge new water front convention/hotel/entertainment area that was just built including a huge, beautiful marina. Someone I know runs several very successful marinas and was approached about running this one. The person who approached him basically told him he was the wrong color, but if this person was allowed to front for his company he could get the inside line. He respectfully declined, but it is a very good example how "diversity" trumps intellect, honesty, and ability in some areas.

Since that time, the entire county has gone downhill as a direct result of minorities. I'm not a racist...I just call it like I see it. Crime has gone up and property values have decreased. Many people who I grew up with in PG county moved down there to get away from PG county. Now they have all moved further out to get away from it.

I can tell you guys that that article is filled with a lot of BS. They built a huge mall in Charles county about 20 years ago in a town called waldorf. Since that time, the entire county has gone downhill as a direct result of minorities. I'm not a racist...I just call it like I see it. Crime has gone up and property values have decreased. Many people who I grew up with in PG county moved down there to get away from PG county. Now they have all moved further out to get away from it.

20 year old ringleader was sentenced to 19 years 7 months and has to do at least 17 years.
22 year old that worked for the security company that was hired to protect the 'hood so nobody would pilfer while under construction received 8 years 4 months and will do at least 7 years 1 month.
21 year old driver received 7 years 3 months and will do at least 6 years 2 months.
All 3 will have to pay $200/month until they pay back $3M each (so say $200 for life)

One just got married while I was in Oregon (just finished college, her new husband will be teaching school in Baltimore), the other just graduated from High School......
