Fastest 28

I believe there was one on ebay a while ago called Smokin gun or something that had like 850s and did somewhere around 100. Don't quote me on that though!

Bad Medicine ran 97mph when it was owned by the original owner. There was an article about it in one of the mags. I have it somewhere. Will look after work.

John, once we get the turbines in...it should fly!!! oooppsss..Forgot I wasn't supposed to mention that....

Thanks.
Yeah, I think I saw a scan of that boat. Like a two page layout. I thought of that boat. I didn't think that the current McManus boat runs that fast, because I think that it has 500efis. Not that a 500efi is a punk motor, I am just saying as opposed to some blown monsters.

John, the flux capacitors are finished...work schedule is hectic... will JJ be rolling thru the point in the next couple days?? let me know when and I will leave them on the back porch....

That is cool. I was afraid that they would disintegrate like sandblasting a sweet tart. :D

Are you gonna be around tomorrow?

(I am not sure if this is a hijack, because they are parts for a 28 Apache)

I think it's a hijack.

Howzabout those fast 28s? Just Bad Medicine?

tomorrow I work 6am untill 2:30 pm

not a hijack... the parts were blasted to remove excess weight...thus less weight = faster 28' apache...

I don't think anyone is in any big hurry to break the century mark with the 28. Short boats tend to become a bit on the twitchy side at about that speed. As I think about it, my guess is that most guys that want a boat in that size that has great flat-water performance are shopping for Fountains and such.

On the other hand, the Brave is probably the best boat I've ever seen running 70 mph in sloppy water. Running side-by-side with a 35 Fountain on a nasty day, you'd be surprised at how the passengers are getting hammered in the other boat.

I would never try to break 100 in a 28. I was just curious what has been at the upper end of HP in these.

The sloppy water handling is my real purpose for owning. That and it is cool and I like it. :)

Warpaint was pretty fast too with the 650's. Owner told me it ran 88mph.

Owner was full of poop though on MANY other things so I take his word with a grain of salt.

From what I can gather, mid 80s from 650s would be believable under the right set of circumstances.
