Engines

The Dennis Moore book is great with all you need to know as a rookie, and it's a pleasure reading as well.

I know I payed less than $30 here in Sweden a few years ago...

Went to the bookstore on Sunday. They didnt have a damn thing about Chevy BBC or and Marine applications.

I did find a Mopar 6 Pack Engine handbook though, which I bought on the spot for my old mans stocking!

I want this Dennis Moore book.

all ya got to know about 4 strokes is Suck, Squeeze, Bang and Blow. Everything else is just a modification on the basic principle.

so true and HPBooks how to Hot Rod Big Block chevies is quite good illustrated.

Remember the Rpm you´re using and you´ll be fine (under 6000 rpm by 10%).

* my advice for you is... build Torque not Hp ... Hp is Torque/time span

Also handy to remember on dates... :26:

There's a bunch of those how to BBC books out there. Not marine stuff, but close enough to get the gist of it.

Look here

Go to one of the catalogs and check in books. Summit or Jegs probably has stuff on their site as well.
