Dumb computer question

Starting a couple weeks ago,I get 5 or 6 e-mails every morning about 4 AM, Apparently not harmful, just spam,Pushing insurance, loans,Walmart cards, car warranty, etc. They all come from the same address each morning, but the address is different everyday.I just delete them, but I hate I have to do it everyday. I'm pretty computer dumb, can I get rid of this,or just live with it? Never had any spam issues at all before this.

trick number one... but for you my friend it may be to late. Set up a free email account..hotmail, gmail etc. use that account for anything that asks for an email address, signing up for forums, webforms, ebay, facebook, etc.. that ismyour spam account. have another email that you use as regular email for buisness and friends.

Just talked to my provider,he said very common problem now, scammers are getting smarter, and since they use a different address each day,no way to block it.May have to live with it.No real harm, just aggravating

I get a few that do that, most of them fade away. There really is little that you can do. Eventually the spam engines will spot the similarities and begin to block.

Fighting spam is a constantly moving target.

Is it always from the same domain? address changes daily@{spamers domain here}.com

You should be able to block all inbound messages from the same domain. I've done it in the past and works well.

Maybe Bob can help.

If you have view HTML enabled, just opening the e-mail can tell them they have a valid address which tells them to keep going.

Turn off "Automatically Download Message When Viewing in the Preview Pane" too. It opens the message to display the preview.
