That's the part I never understood. They did the same in Los Angles at least twice.

It is simple You riot and hurt people and burn businesses you get Shot if they started doing that back then a lot of misery would have been avoided to this very day. Korean businesses in LA did not Burn in the Riots Why??

I hate to let facts get in the way of a good conversation, but more than one-half of the businesses in south central LA that burned were Korean or Arab owned.

Yeah facts : A lot did NOT because they were being shot at by the owners with everything from .22 Plinking rifles to shotguns.

This brings up a point I have tried to make in other replies. How much of thier "problem" is self imposed/choice? I takes brains to be a semi successful gang banger. 1st you have to stay alive. you have to establish a chain of command, you have to rise up that chain. you have to understand marketing, supply & demand, customer service and economics. All things that with a little education and proper channeling lead to success. Did the koreans and arabs have shops in black neighborhoods by magic or was it because the people in the hood lacked the motivation to open these stores on their own?

I remember a movie/tv show(not the name) from years ago where an art painter/reproducer finally got busted & a cop in the show made the comment that if this crook could paint this great as 2 B almost undetectable, why didn't he just paint his own originals in the 1st place!! I think right on the train of thought w/ your's above!!
