Damn! Half of Marine Industry Out of Work...?

According to Boating Industry magazine - The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) estimates that about half the Industry is out of work, as of March.

Well...that's something to which I can certainly relate.

Ouch. That's sad. First, I truly feel for all the folks out of work right now. That's a tough situation to deal with. Secondly, I hate to see all that good talent and skill migrate elsewhere. It will be a long time before we see recovery from such a huge loss - it's so much worse than just the surface-level financial mess.

Couldn't agree more Cig...this is why we were looking some of the out of work Propeller Technicians. In these times if you have lost your job/career it is NOT a reflection of ones skills. I hope we can help some of these people get back to work.

It's almost as scary on the commercial side...many jobs heard about last fall that we though were going to be available when we graduate have dried up. Hopefully I hear back from my favorite two in the next few days!

Anybody know CDI Marine?
