Crank driven water pump on 420hp 454

I have a Formula 311 that the water pumps are a difficult to get to, especially the starboard one. Does anyone know what the best crank mount raw water pump would be to replace the stock ones? What hoses would I use to go from the cooler to the water pump? These are stock 420hp 454's from 1988. I have a sea straner that is mounted in front of the engines.

Thanks
Jon

Volvo has a great one, you should be able to get a complete setup somewhere i'm sure plus its not some one off custom. Service parts are readily available (locally)

Thanks guys I will call up CP and see if they have any suggestions on the hose from the pump to the cooler. I want to keep it as "stock" looking as possible.

The Jabsco pump that volvo uses is a standard item available at most marine supply stores. They work great and are very easy to install. You can use 1-1/4 inch hardwall marine coolant hose, with the wire in it. It will make nice tight bends without collapsing. I also like to use stainless T-bolt clamps they clamp a little better on the hardwall hose. Let me know if you need a part number for the pump. :cheers2:

I have three of the Jabsco pumps along with spare bearings, seals and gaskets. They are powdercoated black (unlike this one), and have had stainless studs installed in them to make impeller changes easier. I also have an extra reaction bracket to keep the pump from turning. Once you get pricing on new ones, PM or email me (C_Spray at msn dot com) and we'll work something out.

This is what the reaction bracket looks like, put with a different pump.
