Buyer beware

Yup.Im sure he wants 97% down and non refundable with 1/2 hour to pick up or owe a late pick up fee.....

I heard AL is a non title state. And that he can get a clean registration in AL even if the boat has a salvage title in another state ????? Can that be true???

Alabama is a non title state for boats. You can get a registration in Al(which will work in place of a title in a title state) with a hand written bill of sale.To prove a point a few years ago when we were pushing for a title law,a Marine Police buddy of mine bought a $12 boat registration for his shoe. He used Sebago as the brand, length was 10W,hull # was the stock # inside the shoe. I am not making this up. Want to sell a stolen boat,or a wrecked boat, come to Alabama.

LDD was selling that bashed \ patched up fountain he bought, and claimed he was keeping for a long time. It had a LOT of damage above the rubrail, which he had repaired. He did mention the damage in the ad.

Somehow I remember seeing that post. Looks as if the term "what comes around goes around" is slowly but surely catching up. Gotta love the power of the internet. I'm curious to know his new ebay screen name.
