Bravo XR part question?

There is a small "plug cap" that goes on the end of a bravo XR. Attached is a picture. Where can I buy this cap, and what exactly is its purpose? Should the drive be run with it not in place?

It's just a rubber cab that gives you access to the bold that holds the zinc in place.......don't need it at all.....but they are only a couple bucks from a Merc dealer.

#30 and is less than $3 (double check I picked correct drive)
