Boat Show Season

It's on!Who has been and where? Posts here say Cleveland was not good.Where else?Went to Huntsville,AL show Sat,very slow. Our Bham.AL show starts Thurs. Let's have some reports,good or bad.

Did the cincy show this weekend. All 'toons, fishing and ski boats. Not a single performance boat there. biggest boat overall was a single 31' cruiser. Nothing like it was three years ago.
Heading to louisville next weekend, expect it to be the same.

What are the dates on the Louisville show? I'm goin to the Los Angeles boat show in 3 weeks. Lots of performance stuff there, along with a bunch of flashy deck boats (station wagons with side pipes). I went last year with a club member, was pretty good. Have to go back for work stuff so am gonna take in the show again this year.

What are the dates on the Louisville show?

Louisville has been hacked all the way down to just one weekend, next Fri/Sat/Sun. The shows are fine for me as I am actually looking to buy a 'toon for this years boating. :leaving:

I used that excuse to hit the Miami boat show three years ago and came home with a new boat.:sifone:

ATL was 1/2 of what it used to be. Nothing worth seeing except Miss Geico and the Crazy Chcken race team. Got to chat with John Haggin for a bit and that was definitely worth going. The rest of the show was like "as seen on tv" cookware and Sham Wow BS.

Cleveland show was 1/4 of what it was 3 and 4 years ago. Really sad to see. The ony offshore boat there was 2 Baja's. At least we still have the RoundHouse and friends. :sifone:

Beyond the bass boats and the pontoons, there's really no point in having boat shows anymore. If you're a guy looking at dropping a quarter-mil plus, what's the $200 flight to Miami and a hotel room?

Yeah i am selling Malibu and Correct Craft(Nautique) ski boats so hopefully some will be buying.

Actually, Miss Geico, will be here. Mikey & Bruce are bringing the MTI, and who knows who else will show up. Haggin might make a surprise visit. He likes the Louisville Area. Aside from Geico, you'll see Baja's, maybe a few Formula's, and ya never know what else. Generally speaking, you might see some advertising for upcoming race season.
