Bed cover for trucks

Asking you truck people which cover you got that lasts and keeps most of the water out? Been checking those tonneau covers nowadays but having hard time deciding which are the good ones and at least give some security. I haul some fishing gear and tall stuffs so I need the easy access. Are those tri-folds good enough? TIA

My father-in-law had tri-folds, or quad folds?, on all three of his Chevy pickups. After he had the first one, he loved them. But, make sure you get a good one. The good ones are strong enough to walk on and have the locking mechanism where if the tailgate is locked, you can't get in.

Also, the good ones come with some locking arm deals so, after all the sections are folded up, all three can be tilted forward and stay there. You only lose about 6" of bed length to haul tall stuff.

I'm looking at them now too for my new Ford.

Yeah, I prefer those with locking mechanism. I've seen some tonneaus able to handle the weight of an ATV at the top. I don't see a need for that thing, just an ease to use and access the most part of the bed.

Oopps, I mean I don't see a need for that feature of a cover. But back in the days at grandfather's place, they have a good trail nearby his farm and we had good adventures using his UTV.

I've seen a video where they have that concrete ramp leveled with top of the cover. Not sure how they unload the ATV when arrived at the destination trail.
