hey G-man welcome aboard, you might have to be more specific, post a link or a pic of the boat you are looking at and we'll give it our best shot to help!:)

I have a 31 & my brother had a 26 for 10 years, both of ours run well over a 100 & are very stable, never been on a 38 if it's the one in MI (on Ebay countless times) it is one of the nicest ones built, I would love to own it.... go to the awesome forum on OSO there's lots of info good & bad

A close friend of mine owns this boat. It's also a 2002 38. I love the boat. It has 540's beefed up to about 925HP each. PM him on OSO. His screen name is Chattviper

He can answer any questions you have I'm sure.

Sethm3 was the name if your buddies boat when he got it the Rooster Coop? from cincinnati?

Yes it was. He is the 3rd owner of the boat I believe. Tommy Granert bought it from the guy who had it named Rooster Coop and changed the name to Botox. Mark bought it from him in 2006? I think

thats what i thought. I remeber when Jimmy Bodinot was painting that boat. Good looking and running boat.

Yes it is.
Looking for something bigger than the 28 Donzi we have, it gets rough at LOTO some times

Nice looking boat, there was one for sale at loto when they were trying to be a dealer for a few years at MM3. Forget the name of the dock but also did some stereo work there. I was in the boat and it was a very large cockpit and nice sized cabin but the one he had he finally beefed up the motors with prochargers because he was only getting around 80 mph with the orig 500's he had in it. He did have problems eating up the bravo drives as well, but this could have also been due to the prochargers and their added torque. Anyway, he said it was a wavecrusher in big water and quoted me that he had it in 5-8's in the Gulf and it handled it "Awesome". Good luck, definitely a fun boat to entertain in.

Botox is awesome in rough water. It is definitely a wave crusher. He has, however, been thru several XR drives with all that power.
