APBA Announces Strategic Entertainment Partnership with Emmy-Winning Producers Jeff Conroy and Arom Starr-Paul of POV Media Inc.
Springfield, OH — April 22, 2025

The American Power Boat Association (APBA) is proud to announce a dynamic new partnership with POV Media Inc., the production company founded by Emmy Award-winning producer Jeff Conroy and Emmy Nominated producer Arom Starr-Paul, whose credits include the groundbreaking Deadliest Catch, Storage Wars, Fire Chasers, Ax-Men, Mud Madness, and over 50 acclaimed series across major platforms.

This collaboration signals a bold step forward in APBA’s long-term mission to expand the reach and visibility of powerboat racing. Together with POV Media Inc., the association is developing cross-platform entertainment that captures the intensity, culture, and behind-the-scenes drama of the sport—introducing it to new audiences while honoring its die-hard community.

During the development phase, POV Media Inc. will be engaging directly with APBA members, including owners, racers, crew chiefs, and teams across all categories and classes. Whether Offshore or Stock Outboard, every corner of the APBA will have a chance to be part of this storytelling journey.

“This is a chance to showcase the heart of our sport—not just the machines and races, but the people, the rivalries, and the legacy,” said APBA Director of Operations, Dana Potts. “We’re thrilled to work with POV Media, whose passion and track record speak for themselves.”

With decades of experience in turning real-life adventure into compelling, widely-viewed television, Arom and Jeff aim to help elevate APBA’s profile.

Together, APBA and POV Media Inc. are committed to a shared vision: growing the sport by bringing its stories to life with authenticity, excitement, and heart.

More information will be shared with members in the coming weeks. Until then—get ready to go wide open.
