Anyone get out yet? Got out on Sunday, very nice!

Well, with the warm weather we had yesterday, decided to splash the boat and finish breaking in the motors. Air temp was mid 80's, water temp mid 40's (eek) and windy. Had 2-3' waves, nothing substantial but made for a decent cruise. On the way back, decided to open it up a bit to see how it would run and it did very well. 91mph, 3/4 tank of fuel and more stick left. The pier head was rapidly approaching so I shut her down... very happy with the results and the weather for the beginning of April. It can now go back to rain and 50 degree days lol...

Up in SJ.. had some work to do at a customers in the morning so I figured we'd launch there... I am doubting MI City's lauches this year... water is down 1' in SJ. I had some issues in MI City last year, too many people power load and the lauch plates are shifting making it difficult for me unload/load. Bull$hit!

According to Bryce New Buffalo is dredging now or will be shortly while Michigan City is going to have to jump through hoops to get trail creek dredged....so bottom line the ramps suck and the water levels are not where they need to be to launch their now.

I am thinking I am probably going to just use New Buffalo launch unless they fix the MC launches. You would think with MC being such a big boating city they would have a usable launch. What a JOKE!

Tell me about it... last year I thought I backed over log in two different bays... turns out it was the plates shifting.. now there is only one bay I can use... Luckily the guys at trail creek know me and when I get there (if there is a crowd) direct me to the side I need... still not happy about it though. I WANT THE NEW LAUNCH DONE NOW!!!! Any ideas on when its supposed to be done??? Hey Mike... does Bryce have any updated info on that???

No updates at all....they have not even broke ground yet....it was also supposed to take a year and a half to complete once it is started! :cuss:

Hey Todd...sorry about that. I'm the one that f'd up the MC ramp. Last year it took me 45 freakin' minutes to get my boat on the trailer there! And I always powerload...it's the only way I can get to the bowstop on my pos trailer. You guys should just come over to East Chicago.
