My wife's suburban has an overhead 7 inch monitor with a VHS player w/TV tuner and a in dash DVD player. All off-brand stuff (movie vision). The 7 in overhead display has quit working and I'm looking for a cheap roughly 10 in replacement monitor.......do most of these connect with a simple DIN plug (this one does), as I'm hoping to just "plug and play" instead of wiring a new unit in.

thought I saw something like that at Fry's (national chain like Circuit City) earlier this year. good luck - jeff

Chances are the plugs will not be the same..Frys of any car audio store should be able to install it.

Movie vision will have rca type connectors for video and audio. Most o/h video has built in dvd now. The flea market brand monitors will be stand alone. Would be easy to swap out though.
