Antique Car Appraisal

Does someone have to be certified or licensed to do a car appraisal? My insurace company wants an appraisal on my 40 Coupe for an agreed value policy. All they want is a form faxed in from an appraiser along with some pictures.

I have never had to have a certified app. for any of our collection.If you are checking on Ins. you might check www.hagerty.com,they are the best I have found in our area.Very nice people and easy to work with.

I have Liberty Mutual for my other autos and my home and they gave me a fair/reasonable quote on the coupe. I was going to keep it all in one place...so to speak.
