RICHFIELD, Wis. – A South Milwaukee man was accused of driving drunk after trying to use a golf cart to drive home nearly 40 miles away from the golf course where he had been drinking beer. The Washington County Sheriff's Department said in a release Monday that the 47-year-old man told deputies his relatives had left him behind at the Kettle Hills Golf Course in Richfield Saturday.

So, he got in a golf cart and headed for home on Highway 167.

Someone called the sheriff's department to report an intoxicated man on a golf cart driving on the highway. Deputies caught up with the man about a mile from the golf course.

He told investigators he had consumed 10 beers, but didn't think he was intoxicated.

We dont drive them home from the Golf Course but, they are our main resort of transportaion around my neighborhood on weekends!!!!! :sifone: :26: :driving:

In Ted and Old School's hood they have more carts and gators then vehicles!!!! :26: :sifone:

My buddy ran our of beer on the golf course one day so he took off to the package store 5 miles down the road on the golf cart. He was playing in an event called the "Busch Light Classic." Needless to say this event doen't occur anymore.:ack2:

ha thats awesome. we loaded 7 of us onto my friends golfcart one night and drove it home from the bar. seemed like a good idea at the time! and it sure beat walking!

We had a guy here in Wisconsin that lost his license from 3 OWIs and the took his riding lawn mower to the bar. Our neighbor had their tractor stolen from a field, found it several miles away out of fuel. The guy who stole it was left behind at a bar drunk started walking home and saw the tractor and used it. So this is not a surprise in Wisconsin.
