Late this season one of my engines started running rough. Checked plugs and they were fouled. Replaced and problem began again and I realized the choke was staying closed or mostly closed always and they fouled at low RPM idling in/out of the marina.
The chokes don't seem to help with starting either as these engines have the typical Weber starting problems if they sit and fuel bowls drain back.
So I'm considering removing/disconnecting the chokes. Is there any reason I shouldn't ?
and
what's the best way to disconnect them ?
Thanks in advance,
ed
