for sale: 1979 31' Excalibur. Asking 13,500 or make me a offer.
I have owned this boat for about 8 years now. never been in salt water that I know of, stored inside heated garage in the winters.just a little bit of work and she will be ready to go. Transom and Stringers are solid. Replaces two motor mount stringers a few years ago due to being rotted where the motor mounts bolt to. All other stringers are solid. 2 years ago I replaced the cockpit floor, backseat, and new fuel tank. I found the forward bulkhead broken, that was fixed and reinforced for more support. dash wsa also redone with the floor repair and some guages added. Interior is about 5 years old but still in good shape.
boat is light but handles the water great. I boat in Lake Erie washing machine water!! Motors have been rebuilt about 3 years ago. They origanally wer merc. 400 Cyclone motors. they have been modified when I bought the boat then I rebuilt them. All I did was add bigger cams intakes and carbs. Has always been a turn key boat for me. Just this past fall the port motor spun a bearing at un idle at the ramp being put on the trailer. Motor still runs but will need to be checked out. The best I had out of the boat speed was 67 mph I think it had more in it but never tried any other props. It has Trs drives with nosecones, drives were services twice a year depending on usage.Borg warner trans also are on the boat. these were just rebuilt last year.just little odds and ends need to be done to make it perfect.
Trailer also comes with the boat it is an older trailer but still in decent shape (still solid). It is a tripple axle with electric brakes.
