From what I know, that would be the 8th 28', built in June of 1974.

That is correct...keel was set 6/74,invoiced 7/22/74 sold to Apeco Marine Miami,no color or engines shown on build sheet. Bud

Should be like this (I think I recall)....

US CRT**###M399 (12 Characters plus the country)

US = made in the US
CRT = Cigarette Racing Team
** = the length
### = production number
M = month it was made
3 = model
99 = year it was made

Our Cig the Dirty Pearl/SlapShot was the # 4 36 made in April 1970 if I read it right.
