2015 Muskegon Power Boat Weekend Saturday Run Photos

Follow along as we present some photos of "The Chase" Charity Powerboat Event Saturday happenings. This was organized by the West Michigan Powerboat Association and is benefiting the West Michigan Humane Society. It is presented by CK Motorsports. Some of today's fun was the 2pm Muskegon Lake Warm-up lap, the Precision Power Offshore Poker Run, the Parade of Power following the Lake Express through the Muskegon Channel to Lake Michigan. And then a short run in Lake Michigan heading south for 10 minutes or so.

The turnout was very good, especially when you consider the weather forecast for thunderstorms. Luckily they missed us south and we were dry the entire run. Rain before, rain late evening, but nothing during the days main events.

In chatting with Roger about the turnout, there were 52 boats for the Parade and Run. That is a great turnout considering the weather forecast and how it rained almost the entire morning.

We started the day by visiting the home of the days activities, the Muskegon Yacht Club. Many of the boats were still covered, but people were getting ready for the run as the skies cleared.
