I was in the Checkmate booth all weekend. They signed up some dealers, but we did'nt sell any of the boats we had there.

I've ordered 25-30 of them for the boats I sell. Only had one with problems.

I have friends in California that have 4 year extended warrantees on thier 300xs motors for about $2600 per motor through an aftermarket company. That's 6 years total. They say they have no problem ever getting covered!

I don't know if you're interested in outboards, but this 30ft Liberator is great on gas, has a cabin, seats six, tons of storage, probably has the biggest cockpit of any cat of any size, and has absolutely zero porpoise at any speed. Here's a link to the ad...

I was told by a guy I met last week, that the Opti 300xs runs as well and uses much less fuel that the 350 Verado. Mercury sponsors his 34ft Yellowtail in tounaments. He has had 3 300xs motors and now has 3 or the 350 Verados. He likes the Opti's alot better.
