Maybe i messed the latest news, but i wanted to keep up to date on how the boat ran/runs. How did it do wherever it went? Anybody have any updates? New pics? Video footage? Any info would be appreciated! :driving:

As we get older we tend to see things differently...i am sure most of us have done something like this in our past. Its all exciting and on the line until something goes wrong - but then, we all seek excitement!

Very interesting and i see you point of being "too light" may be a concern. But, if it is designed and engineered around a particular weight, don't you think the issues can be overcome through design compensation?

T2x, what is YOUR personal view about the differences of wood versus fiberglass in the fact that steve1 claims the exact same things you do about wood, only he uses glass. Not starting a war of words, but there must be a reason you prefer wood over glass - wouldn't glass give a much nicer...

General, the paperwork wasn't the real issue. The reason the boats became so well known was because of their meticulous attention to detail, which most everything had to be approved by Dan before the next phase took place. He could not delegate and trust his guys, and he had some of the best...

In my opinion, Dan may have built a great boat in its day, but there are a lot of advancements and enhancements that would make for a much better performing vee hull, after all, the PP was a typical vee hull with nice rigging AND BEST OF ALL, a flawless finish with great paint, nothing...

WHY? Why not build something better? Straighter, faster, better? Just Curious...i like 55' Chevy;s, but wouldn't want to retool one!
