    NNRT Offshore Classics

This photo was taken on July 12,1978 and the owner/driver of the boat is Frank Rossitto. Frank bought it from Billy and you can see his name towards the back of the boat on top of Bob Latham's name and Latham Marine. Bill raced his 36' Perfomer, "Night Moves" at this race and I helped with the...

    Saugatuck, MI the 80's

I was working for Howard Arneson when we won our first race in Saugatuck, Michigan on August 14, 1982. I didn't take many pictures, but I know a lot of the people who were there. We stayed at "The Castle," in Castle Park, Michigan. I remember it was a very old hotel which had about 10 or 20...

    HORBA sad news

I used to see Bill every morning at the 7-11 in Point Pleasant Beach where we'd both get our coffee and newspaper and talk about racing...and his Z-28 "Bear Cat." He was a great guy and a true offshore legend. John

I think Charlie nailed it. I became friends with Jack's son Michael from being at all the races(we were close in age) but, haven't seen or heard from him in years.

    Hawk Jag

I was with Dave at the SBI event in New York, last September. He has more fun with his friends on his Cigarette than he does racing the Jaguar at a fraction of the price. It's several thousand dollars for each race, and that's if nothing goes wrong (set-up, fees, crew, fuel, etc)

    The 28 Cigarette - 1976

$27,000 was a very good price for that Cigarette, but the average income in 1976 was only $16.000 and the average price of a house was $43,000.

    The Shadow Cat

El Boss was an amazing boat, often running as fast as or faster than the Open Class 1 boats. Willie Diaz had no fear in any water.

OK. I only saw the #75 car. It had RG engines similar to the ones that Harold prepared for Long Shot. John
