I'm getting around 65gps. My biggest limiter is heads. Running peanut ports. Had a good set laying around, and wanted to see how much I could get out of some serious grinding work, so I spent hours cleaning them up. In the end, maybe gained 1 or 2 mph. Nothing left to gain with those heads...

It's a warmed up 460ci, carb'd.

I have same boat. Hull has been rock solid over the years. It is not a light boat as it was built for durability, not all out speed. I have seen no other in my neck of the woods, and this is first thread I have seen regarding same boat.

Question.. I'm curious.Do that many of you really pull the plug every time you leave water? With all the things one needs to remember and worry about prior to a launch to ensure a successful day out, that is one thing I don't want to forget. Between loading the boat, gas, food, ice, beverages...
