George, I ran a 1997 500 H.P. Carburated just check my lap times. Good thing none of you where there; I wouldn't have been able to leave with the flag. I weighed out at 4880. Mark Weber was at the crane, top speed on the gps was 87 mph.:icon_bs:
The guys in the "big open boat" will not be there. We have been to Havasu twice since january for meetings with law inforcement, they are on board with us. We also have the BLM permit so there is no issuse with anchoring turn buoys.
We have a couple date you can add on the West coast:
We will be running the following schedule:
• Desert Storm Grand Prix, Havasu
o April 21st-25th
• Rum Run, Long Beach
o July 16th- 19th
• Thunder on the Bay, San Diego
o September 17th- 19th
• Salton Sea Speedweek 2010 APBA – U.I.M. Kilos /...
The Lake Havasu Grand Prix, our season opener, is right around the corner. The OPA racers will be joining us in the race; many of them driving as far as New York and Florida. We will have some of the premier teams in the country joining us. We even have CRC Racing from Vancouver, WA and Martin...
Both races are fun, Havasu is a lake race with a closed course surrounded by thousands of spectators. The Rum Run is a classic offshore race 26 miles across the Pacific to Catalina and back.
George, I called you a week ago with $$$ in my pocket to get the SVL class out here to Havasu in April, You never even called back? I have put the offer out to Stock outboard as well now.
If anyone brings a V-light to a POPRA Race I will run spec class with you, otherwise with no competition I will run with the P class with some competition. By the way thank you for posting the shot of my buoy, I mean boat on the previous page. Oh the times we had in Biloxi....:boxing_smiley:
