    high hp bravo 1 questions

It sees it's air time as well, one thing to consider here tho I only run 3 & 4 bladed props I think sometimes this is overlooked when people want their Bravo's to last behind bigger power.

will a shorty be better on a 24baja

In order to run the -3 you need to run the shortened Imco midsection on the Bravos to get enough clearance for props, I'd like to try one along with a Blackhawk drive, theres been a cpl 18's try Blackhawks in the stock and raised X location with some success. The -2 improved my handeling and I...

will a shorty be better on a 24baja

Not a 24 Baja but... My Donzi 18 liked a -2 shorty, handeling improved, boat ran flatter with less chine walk and picked up a cpl, I think I could benefit from a -3" if anyone has one. Steve

    My Favorite Donzi

I've run with this boat at a Donzi ralley and yes it is a fine piece of work along with the GT-21 he has done. Boat runs strong its, a n/a SB in high 400 maybe 500 HP range, drive is an Alpha SS, owners name, Parnell heck of a nice guy as well. Steve

Speed Gains f0r 2011: What did you do?

Don't exactly understand your question, but is the boat stable? That's all relative, it's defiantly a drivers boat, if you just sit in the drivers seat and do nothing but give it throttle and a lil trim then yeah she's gonna get your attention real quick!! Yes it has a tendency to chine walk if...

Speed Gains f0r 2011: What did you do?

George, Couple things to take into account here, 1st its a 3200 lb boat running a pretty deep propshaft height (5 1/2") even with the -2", it's been the opinion of some that spinning a larger prop slower is more efficent than turning a smaller prop faster, I do believe this to account for my...

Speed Gains f0r 2011: What did you do?

Here comes the comments but, it's a newer style swept back stock Bravo 1 with -2" Imco lower, oh and the upper is 1.65 geared, RPM's are in the 5,800 neighborhood, however I'm running 3 bladed props, slip #'s are in the 7.7-8% range :) Steve

Speed Gains f0r 2011: What did you do?

Still prop testing, still need to bring down the RPM's about 300 more which should get me another 4-5 I'd think
