Whalers don't have a drain plug due to being foam filled. A friend of mine had one he believed was heavier than a normal Whaler. We drilled a hole to install a drain plug and found the foam saturated with water. He let it drain for about two weeks and got at least 50 gallons of water out of it.

Don't you love this mentality. Get injured or killed trying to take someone's stuff they or their family will sue to still try to take that persons stuff. If you are injured or killed committing a crime, the right to even threaten a lawsuit should be eliminated.

I thought about looking at this boat but couldnt find anything to verify what the ad claims. Still might take a look if I can get the wife to agree on the possibality of getting it.

Boat was in the water today. No numbers yet but it looked good. There is a short video of it on the Checkmate forms.

Rewatched the 79 and 81 Daytona 500 on ESPN. That was real racing.

Looks like the shaft broke. Ive had one come off because I didnt pull on it before I went on the track. That will never happen again because I didnt enjoy the end result. Kinda like leaving the plug out, usually only happens one time.

Was said to be slower then the 24 Skaters it was suppose to challange and it made a better race boat than pleasure boat. Pleasure boats are what keep the company running.

The boat was designed by George Linder and the wood plugs were built by Quest Marine. They made between 6-10 boat with one being I/O. The rest were twin Outboards. Would love to find where the other boats are now.

The word is that Checkmate had another company design the mold. Supposed to have made one I/O and some outboard ones. He is asking too much for this one considering the shape it appears to be in.
