I believe your asking about a 496MAG or 496HO... If so, they are closed cooled motors and have a different water setup. I have several Diacom readouts and all read 3-7 at idle and 34-43 at 5000+ rpm on various boats. Dave

I use standard length Thunderbolt distributors (attached to a Crane HI-6M) because they seem to be bulletproof compared to the others out there. That's what standard means :rolleyes: Most all of the newer intakes are machined to accept standard distributors; the Snipers are not. Hopefully...
