Me too - my wife and I stayed on Cedar Creek Res. a couple years ago and loved it. Very nice place to spend time with the family. I look forward to when I can get back out there with my boat this time.
Great topic - I'm about to be in a bigger boat capable of much more than my 22' Scarab was, and I've been thinking about this a lot too. Keep the replies coming guys...this is an excellent read.
I have nothing against OSO. I'm fairly new to OSO (and SOS) and don't know that many members on either site. I am a paid member of OSO. I didn't know there WAS a paid membership here. But now I see the "Upgrade Membership" button. Never noticed it...but now that I have...DONE!!

Thanks - hopefully soon I'll have my boat to pull behind it.
The last thing it towed was a few months ago (my old 22' Scarab) and she's itching to pull again. Hopefully the 27' Excalibur will be behind her very soon...like...this weekend soon.
Here's my tow rig...and daily driver. I was a little unsure about the 24s until I saw them mounted on the truck...now I can't imagine having smaller wheels. I will be buying a more aggressive tire when these wear out though.
2008 F250 w/ 6.4 diesel. Love this truck. It rides like a dream...
Yep - I'm following this one also.

Also...for $2 mil I could find one heck of a better boat than that pile of...
On a "Pleasure Craft" for poker runs or whatever...why does it HAVE to be a permanent fixture that can't be removed? Or is that already an option that's been explored and removed from contention? I mean obviously all canopies are meant to be opened so you can get in and out, but are there...
It's a 1980 27' Excalibur Speedster.
I don't know much other than what I have read and researched myself.
So far from what I gathered it came from Florida a few (4-5) years ago.
I don't know who owned it in Florida (haven't found him yet), but if anyone else knows...I'd LOVE to hear about it...
I just bought (but haven't received it yet) a 1980 27' Excalibur.
I sold my 22' Scarab to get into something bigger. I called Jeff for some Magnum advice and fell into this deal. Can't wait to get her in the water, and being here in the Houston area I will hopefully still be able to do that...
