Jaws, Secret Testing in Lake Michigan, Wesco Visit, and Boostane

When Dave takes time to go "out" for dinner, sometimes it's at a cruising speed of about 100-120+mph in one of his cat boats---and that's usually from Holland to Muskegon (he usually goes to the restaurant "Dockers")...about a 65-70 mile round trip.

Cougar Cat 40 w Turbines for sale what's the story

I remember seeing those Cougar Cats like KS&W, Sea Hawk, K-Systems, etc, running at least once or twice at the Grand Haven, Michigan boat races back in the day....1980's. I always remember seeing these boats mostly colored in black with gold accent striping on them---and some with megaphone/cone...

1st. post for the big cats

A little history if you want to read---back in the day...around 1985 or so, I remember seeing Al Kropp periodically running his 32' Baja with a pair of Merc 454/370hp engines with TRS drives named "RAMBO" on the sides and a big knife with blood dripping off the blade :ack2: ....yeah, I think it...

1st. post for the big cats

Yes, I remember that boat. AL Kropp and Jim Ariloa were owners/operators of that boat. "KAT" = "Kropp Ariloa Team" back in 1988/89 or so. They were from the Chicago area.

    Looking for Engine Builders?

Brendan, not sure if you're still searching or not, but Dave Wesseldyk of WESCO Racing Engines in Jenison, Michigan (616) 662-2250 would be a good guy to contact. Dave is a low profile country boy---he's so low profile he may not want to do an interview, but it doesn't hurt to ask. He is a very...

Am I choking my 588ci? Need Doms?

Okay, my friend removed the spark arrestor off the carbs. As you look down on the carbs there are a total of 12 air jet style screw-in bleeds. Also, on the sides of these Dominators it says: "List 8896 2" and then it says "Model 4500"

Am I choking my 588ci? Need Doms?

When looking at a Holley Dominator carb, how can you determine whether the carb is a 2 circuit or 3 circuit system??? Which system is better and more tunable? Also, which system (2 or 3 circuit) is better for a marine supercharged application? And....which system (2 or 3 circuit) is better for...

Sorry I missed it this year...I'm trying to sell my boat and having fresh engines intalled. I was passing through there on Thursday night and spoke with Smitty/Articfriends, Todd H, and Dennis r and a few others at Brower Park. Anyway, I may be showing up with something else next year. ;)
