55 was at about 4200, didn't really stay there long enough to get a good reading. Like I said that is way over the speed limit for this reservior and this boat is load, no stealth runs. Will get it on some bigger water next season. Really like it though.

Here are some photos from Sautrday's outing. 80 degree weather, fall colors and two 540's got the boat up to about 55 which is 15 over the limit for this little reservoir, there was still plenty of motor left. Boat really cruises at about 38 mph at 3k rpm. Handles nicely too.

Probably won't get to do any max speed runs till next season. Hoping to get out on the water this weekend when it is supposed near 80 on Saturday. Offer was accepted yesterday and deposit in mail today on a 1995 42SS. Boat has 2 HP 500s, one rebuilt last year and one with a valve job and new valve springs about 40 hours ago. Boat only has about 240 hours on it. AC, Genny, arch removed. Survey and sea trial in the works. Got my fingers crossed.
