It is hard to tell from the photographs, but it appears there were some welds on the bottom of the tongue assembly. If these welds cracked then the tube would be left to support the tongue. I'm just saying that we should not speculate that it is a Myco design flaw before the failure analysis is...

Gino, Let us know how this is resolved. I'm curious - from a fatigue analysis standpoint. Sometimes designs look undersized when in fact they are not. We do this kind of analysis work frequently. Its surprising what works and what doesn't. Greg
