I did that exact thing, 200 merc, 16 sidewinder....couldn't drive the thing, boat would rum about 70 and chime walk all over the place. Ended tearing the transom up. Be safe!

Still have my Hutch 24 Cruiser hanging in the garage...Flight cranks, DX pedals, JMC bars. Get it down a couple times a year to ride it, love that thing. I don't think racing would be for me anymore, went to an indoor track a few years back with the Hutch, all to regulars told me I was nuts...

Virgina Beach, APBA 93, watched Gentrys 50' with a wing idling out go over a wave and it was gone behind it. We were in a 24 skater and knew it was going to be ruff, the weather report was calling for 13 footers.....they were huge! Won't ever forget that one! Best one, Chicago 92...
