    28 Cig Restoration

While waiting on paint to dry, I ended up stripping all of the cables and wiring. The wiring was a rat's nest so, I decided to start from scratch. Before.... Next on the list is to repair the cracks in the cockpit floor and deck, so that both can be re-painted.

    28 Cig Restoration

Plan is to put a set of 383's in the engine room, but first it had to be stripped, cleaned, and re-painted. First I stripped the engine compartment, and ended up with a pile of parts. After about 10 pressure washings, lots of degreaser, and a ton of elbow grease, I was ready to start...

    28 Cig Restoration

Ended up with this boat a month or so ago. According to the title it is a 1972 27'10" Cigarette. It was setup with staggered small blocks connected to Mercruiser "R" drives with Sportmaster lowers. It is prior to HIN requirements, so it's been really hard to track any history. The boat was...

Since this was built in early 1972, HIN's weren't required. It was titled in March of 72. HIN's were required after November 1973. Cigarette applied for their MIC code, "CRT" in August of 1972 I called Cigarette, and they don't have records prior to 03, and have no way to track it down. As...

Don't worry, many more pics to come! I am going to start a thread on the rebuild of this boat. I have just been cleaning out the years of leaves, and getting the engine bay clean and ready to re-rig. I have plenty of pictures of what it looked like when I picked it up. As for the drive, I am...
