My cable bill went from $108 to $185 since my 1 year contract rate was up. Called, got the right people and had them put me on the new customer plan.

$115 w/Starz and HBO, internet, HD-DVR and phone. I didn't have phone or Starz before and could careless about them but was part of the special they were running so here they are.

Entourage was pretty much the only reason I was keeping HBO at this point, and I was recently thinking how dumb it was to keep HBO only for a half hour show that's on 2 months a year.

I guess now I have another reason to keep it on.

They're also doing a series on Anthony Kiedis' autobiography - Scar Tissue. That should be pretty good. (If you've never read the book, he's had an "interesting" life to say the least.)

I just shut down the HBO as well. My bill went up to $260 for the bundle with HD and everything else. Tha is ridiculous for TV. That Trueblood show was ok too. Had some hot chicks naked at least.

Paying for HBO is worth it just for their productions. There is nobody doing weekly shows as good as theirs. NOBODY! And their documentaries are even better...most recent was the one about President Adams. We felt like we were back in the day watching that series. If you haven't seen it...it's out on video. (Get it through Netflix like we do with all our movies these days.) My wife bought it as an Xmas gift for her parents who do not have HBO. Her old man is a history buff. He is in for a treat!
