Movie Review- Hurt Locker

I don't care for most of what's on television, but I do enjoy a good movie. Trouble is, finding a good movie.

Here's one I think you'd enjoy- Hurt Locker

It's about an Army explosive ordnance disposal team working in present-day Iraq.

While it is definitely full of action, it's not one of those cartoonish war-action movies, nor is it lefty-preachy "war is evil". It's just young guys doing a job.

Definitely worth the rental and one of the few recent movies I'd want to own a copy of.

Yea they ran Band of Brothers back to back the day after Christmas, i spent they day on the couch watching the whole series.Very well done..So they are continueing with them great.I never erased the episodes off the recorder because i want to sit down for a day and watch them again.

They're re-running Band of Brothers as a warmup to the new series they did on the war in the Pacific. Can't recall the name but I think it's the same people that did the BoB series

Saw Hurt Locker this weekend. Excellent movie, like you said "soldiers doing their job". Thought the ending was predictable.

My cousin's husband was on an ordinance-disposal team in Iraq two years ago. She was a supply sergeant on tour at the same time. They brought back pics from their respective jobs...way cool to see.

I, for one, cannot WAIT for that series about the Pacific Theater. I have Band of Brothers on DVD and watch it about once a year...read the book as well.

We saw Inglourious Bastard's last night with Brad Pitt, directed by Quinten Terintino. I have to admit it was a good movie even though I would not have picked it.

Will look for Hurt Locker.

My mom said it was the goriest movie she'd ever seen.
