From the pics it looks like the hull bottom is the same as the Corsa, P&D, Monza, Martini, Jaws and quite a few others. If it's not rotton it'll be a fun boat to go wake jumping and having fun, I do not belive it was built in 69- More like 89....
Somebody named Alan Piche' designed the Seabird line of boats, but I never saw a small boat like this one with a Seabird name. I think fastdonzi is right on the money on this one.
Only looked at this on my blackberry, but I'm with Shawn, looks just like the two 24 Panteras I've owned. Deck seems exacly the same and transom with pad is identical too.
Funny thing about Brownie's comment, just measured out my 1977 24 Pantera at 23' this afternoon.
Our Panteras have a lot of siblings as Mr. Brown and others have implied.
It almost looks like the flat spot was ground in to it. I wouldn't call it a pad. Notice has the stain from the drain left a line parallel to the transom. I would want to take a good look at that.
I can't put my finger on what boat it resembles. Looks like it would be fun. The Martinis I remember had rounded fairings or a V shaped not flat like this one. Maybe a Monza but, know enough to say for sure.
I think Expensive Date Tim has a pair of those motors in his boat.
I have been watching that one for a while, if it didn't have that power I would think real hard about it.
Now that I have looked back and forth it sure does look exactly like a Pantera. I wish there was someone down there that could really look at it.
The price isn't to bad taking into account that it has an updated power and drive already done. If not for that I would have to say he is way outa line and may be alittle as it sets now. If the guys on here can't remember anything about them then that tells me something just ain't right and to be very cautious about it. If it is a one off splash or who knows maybe a restamped long lost Pantera something's fishy.
That would be correct, but to tell you the truth I didn't really expect to get any responce from a e-mail. Just so typical of the Bis.........wait did I just say that?
I will be calling Monday
That Pantera Sean linked is interesting too. I wouldn't be all that worried about the twin turbo motor. Banks did a decent job, and retrofit improvements are out there.
