Travis Pastrana

In the end it was such a clean jump it looked pretty easy, wonder how many thrillseekers will be jumping their imports over stuff just to be like Travis? Hold my beer, watch this!!:smash::eek::sifone:

He looked a little nervous right before he took off.

I can only imagine how much prep went into doing that stunt.

I was wondering how you practice something like that. Do you just rely on engineers to do the calculations or did he do practice jumps?

He did practice jumps, quite a few actually & went through several cars... If you guys don't already know about these check out his nitro circus DVDs

rednecks have been jumping their old pickups for years man... :driving:

It was pretty cool...Having watched him for a number of years the guy is not only talented but has a very large set to do some of the things he's done...

I'd put the double back flip on his bike over this jump but it was still a very entertaining show...

Double backflip is one of the coolest things ive ever seen on live tv. His mom was a mess just before he did it and rightfully so!!! Hes a bad mofo

You don't do these, with RedBull support, without having a 99% idea of the outcome.

Not to take anything away from Travis or the stunt, I'm a big fan, but the landing ramp is about twice as high as the takeoff. Makes for a very cushy landing. Big brass to jump onto a barge with limited room to maneuver...and stop.

They may think they know what is going to heppen but remember last year I think it was the guy failed.

Naw, last year was the maniac that jumped up on top the Arc De'Triomphe in Vegas, another large set if stones :sifone:
