How can someone respond to that without resorting to an ad hominem argument against the cut and paster?

Having beliefs and free speech is all good, and of course you don't need to please my tastes Jay, but posts like this are trolling.

You post something, just to tweak people, that is too full of nonsense to even discuss. Then when people naturally respond negatively... you fall back on the argument that everybody else drank the koolaid and is brainwashed by Bush love and is intolerant of your view.

I support your right to believe whatever you want, but posts like this are intentionally imflammatory, which is the definition of a trolling post.

You can keep posting this crap, but you will probably lose the improvement in PR that you have enjoyed with our collective "fresh start" on SOS.

You can be the official troll if you choose, but why would you? For sport?

Nice post Fund!

At least we will all know who the donors are for W's library.:rolleyes:

stifel! I thought it was funnier than hell. it's been printed and hung up all over the hospital even.

Maybe I am the only one tired of the same old generalizations and oversimplifications that pass as fact when the lefties come out with this crap.

I am not sure much of it is actually funny. The true stuff is sad.

thats not lefty crap, making jokes about Bush being an idiot is right down the middle of the road.

Maybe being lefty has become middle of the road, too.

Maybe I have heard them all and the are worn out. I mean, are we still giggling about Monica Lewinsky?

The Ford library, where the wife of the guy running it is a flaming alchoholic. Ha ha ha.

The Kennedy library, you'll lose your mind. ha ha ha.

Funny? More like cheap.

I agree, it's humor...funny as hell...I still think we are better off having GW, then not having GW...but funny is funny.

oh and just for the record. It wasnt GW that said I stand by my mis-statements, it was Dan Quayle...

Many people enjoy the "Jackass" episodes and films.
So, I suppose there is an audience for anything.

A matter of differences in taste.

I agree that there are a few parts of Jay's post that are kinda funny; but its seems odd that it got posted at all - nothing really clever or insightful or biting in the George Carlin sense. What's the point outside of stirring up the ***pot. - Jeff

Jays post is just like my Cheer Up Conservatives thread, lighten up. If you don't like his politics don't read them, you know how his political posts will be slanted as will mine:biggrinjester:

Its pretty simple really, jay just copied and pasted what was sent to him in an email, as is about 80% of whats posted here in the bar, copies and pastes of jokes and or links to jokes and funny stuff.

Bush-Free Zone?

My apologies for posting something that doesn't meet your comedic standards. Perhaps you could post up some guidelines that we can follow in the future. :ack2:

What fresh start? Your head is in exactly the same place it was last week or last month.

I've been trying to think of a way to respond to your post without using the word 'sanctimonious'...

Sorry, but, I just can't.

You called me 'controversial' in the other thread, and now I'm 'trolling'.

I figure you are doing this because:

a) it's me, or
b) the subject matter doesn't appeal to your erudite sensibilities.

Well, whatever your reasoning, guess what? Not everyone shares your point of view. Did you really think the world would be different here? Are you gonna chime in with this kind of crap every time I make a post? Others have said you need to lighten up, I would agree.

Well said. I remember all the Clinton/Lewinski jokes, the Al Gore jokes and the John Kerry jokes(Lurch and such-like humor). Fund razor was fine with all that, all smilin and happy, but now that the tables are turned, all of a sudden he's not so happy.

Dare I say.... I agree. If you don't like the posts don't read them. I am polar oposite politically from Jay and Cat. Does not mean that they can not post their thoughts. I wish that they would come more in their thoughts and less in cut and pastes....
