It's a LOOOONG ride down there from Chi-town, and we made it ALMOST all the way without incident. About 7 miles from the state park entrance, we were cruising along at the speed limit, climbing a small hill, when we heard what sounded like a freight train horn to our left. Some completely whacked-out-of-his-gourd local boy was PASSING us in a no-passing zone with a stake-bed diesel dually towing a flatbed trailer with a farm tractor on it. He DID NOT do it with any skill or finesse, however, end dragged his old metal trailer down the side of the boat. The fender was folded in, the gelcoat scratched up...and the dude DID NOT STOP. In fact, if Dennis had not hit the brakes, the stupid hillrod would've taken out the front of our truck. What resulted was a Dukes-of-Hazard style chase thru the hills of the Cumberland area...with duallys and large trailers! He tried like hell to get away from us, but D kept us in it...even PASSING a guy on the dam to stay with him. We got close enough to get his plate, then pulled over and called the cops. Here's the damage:
