Algae bloom on Lake Erie on the way to Kelly's Island. After a couple of days of warm weather and calm winds the algae multiplied at the surface. It was so thick some places, it looked like green paint. Sorry for the poor quality, taken with a phone.

wow Ian looks like you finally got that phone figured out, it was odd to see a chartuse colored wake, I am glad it did not stain our boat.

That's funny. You two do talk, don't you.......

That is weird in the water though. When I was Pres of a Lake Assc, there were some algae blooms that were so toxic we would close the lake to human contact and notify everyone to keep animals from drinking from it.

Saturday I went out with my wife and daughter and spent the day anchored up at the local island... Perfectly sunny day in the mid 80's with non-existant winds!! Just a perfect boating day!

Sunday we hung out at the marina in the morning and went to a BBQ in the afternoon... another great day!!!

On Monday I got 4 boats together and we made a run up to NYC. We were supposed to go to Long Island but the winds were blowing northeast the day before at 20mph and it looked like victory at sea (small craft advisory was up) when we turned the hook and ran a few miles. Dee should have some good pics from our run, some boats dissapeared in the waves. ;) The ocean was solid 4-6's and getting bigger the further we went.... We ran up to NYC thru the Narrows and it was 3-4's mostly. On the ride back I ran about 75 mph in the slop for a few miles.... I have some video from the GoPro but have to get it up-loaded, maybe tonight if I have time.

We both work on computers all day so we do see each other here sometimes:)

I have no idea if the stuff was harmful, I've never seen that before. Lots of people fishing in it. Sure was wierd looking.

Couple of Ktron...

That was a great ride up to NYC I can't wait to see the pics. I think I was lost in the spray a couple of times. :ack2:

.

not on the water, our engines are too friggin loud, so I sit there the whole way not saying anything, which for me as you know is like torture :biggrinjester: then we arrive on the dock and we both start talking to different people, and that goes on like that for most of the weekend, then when we get home like last night as he is trying to fall asleep I am trying to tell him all the things I forgot to say during the whole weekend................... married life; it's a trip:kiss:

GLH, you sure do have the life, those pictures are great, I hope to get a tour of the Mutt in KW.

Frank, what no pictures, at least you could add a few of your cute little boat bunny playing in the sand
