I forgot to mention that being in new jersey I had to wear a disguise, so I went to the salvation army to find some clothes from the eighties, parachute pants,members only jacket and a popped polo collar.

word on the street was that stecz was reeling, couple of bad deals and the big boys were ready to pounce, I had to tread lightly, rumor was that he was thinking about retirement,find someplace dull and lifeless to sit out his final days, ohio was mentioned.

I found the only chinese restaurant in new jersey that didn't serve cat and tried to pry some info from the owner,who wasn't chinese or even asian, I think he was from detroit, he was reluctant until I showed him the pictures..............................

the story was the same told by a thousand victims for a thousand years, stecz was a bad man and was due for a fall,I was getting old and wondered if I was up to the task,years of post whoring and alcohol abuse had taken it's toll, I hadn't shaved for a few days and no longer looked like don johnson, more like harry dean stanton .

if I could only trust the cops in this town I would be home and in bed with a bottle of hard gin and some soft porn. but I can't take that chance. I found a seedy motel off the main streets,place reminded me of home, I don't change the sheets often either.
