Well spring is almost here...I am packing up for the move from Somerset to Chattanooga right now....i just had to get on Lake Cumberland one more time before i leave....So off i went...all by myself....i hate loading and unloading alone but what the hell....ran form Lees Ford up to the dam and back....it was a bit chilly but i had a great time....it was the first time the boat has been wet since winterizing it and it ran flaulessly....but there are so many trees and debris it was a but dangerous....i wish i could say i was going to miss it here but I'm not....i hope that i never ever for any reason have to ever come back to Ky.

I thought Pickwick was in the middle of nowhere until I went to The Lake Cumberland Run. WOW!!!!! 2 hours to get beer. Also..the Lake is BEAUTIFUL but very narrow and not a straight stretch on it.

The houseboats are a cool spot for "Poker Run Village" though!

2 hours to get beer is totally unacceptable.:ack2: No wonder the boys in the hills are still making white lighting!:26:

i moved here from Navarre Fl. about 20 minutes from Destin....it's just a bit red here....you can't take a crap without everyone in town knowing about it....everyone is in everyones business.....i just need to be someplace i little bigger....

Really. Is it the state, the women or Lake Cumberland you dislike so much?

all of it....its hard to find a woman that has all of her teeth....there is inbreeding somewhere in these folks family....most are overweight...and it's not a nice lake....even though i felt the need to run it yesterday....

Oh come on...It's only 1 hr to get beer:biggrinjester:. Yeah, instead of running to the liquor stor to pick up a case we pick up 5 when we go. :26:

The "Poker Run Village" is one of the best around!

kyle i have two questions for you:

1. do you have all your teeth?
2. do you drink moutain dew?

thank you for your support...:26::26:

How soon is the move Chip??
And why'd you choose Chatanooga? I've never been there, but have been in and around Nashville many times.

I can see why you want to leave Ky - I'll be out of here in 3-4 weeks. Spent the week in AZ looking for a place to live, and just got back a few hours ago.
Unless you are from here, it's not a place you want to be. The locals are just dumber than anyplace I've ever encountered, and lazy/work the system...

Sorry we never had a chance to meet at Louisville - I never even made it down there, too much going on orchastrating this move, and too much travel to see family before we go.
Funny you mention it, but 2 weekends ago, I was driving back to KY from Toledo, and looking at all the very familiar sights on the roadsides and thinking "this is the last time I will likely ever see this in my life"
I didn't feel bad about it at all.

I was only there once, was told not to ski cause of the water moccasins that time of year.:ack2:

Dad has his houseboat at Harrison Bay State Park I believe is the name of it. It's a state park and rates are better then most of the local marinas.... And you can drive your boat into their ongoing downtown renovations and dock and check out the town...

ok... bunch pf powerboaters, closest beer store is 2+ hours away.. am I not the only seeing a buisness oppurtunity here??
