read Chris's post, then read it again and again. Survey----Survey. Think long and hard about that lake and what it does and how it can get out there in a 25ft boat. Most of all read Chris's post's. Good Luck and welcome to SOS.

Well fellas i'm still looking, just bought a bought a truck to pull the thing with. If anyone sees a boat out there that might be of interest to a guy new to the sport let me know. Also what is everyone's opinion on financing vs. paying cash. Maybe finance half, not sure what to do yet, but i know I don't wanna pay some retarded rate. Thanks again for helping out a newb.

04-12-2009 09:11 PMKeep your eye on the Up Your Post thread. 03 is looking at the same thing you are. He's in Maryland and isn't looking in your area. There are some we've linked in there over the last week for him to review. Pay attention to that thread and we'll help you. There are a couple we've posted that are exactly what you're asking about.
Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!

I really like the Pantera's and Banana boats. I was looking for a cheap one before I found my Skater.

There was a 25 Thunder in Buffalo N.Y. on Craigs list Buffalo. Looked like a great deal.
Look in the A.T. threads under Cheap 25

^^^ I saw that Powerplay and it looks like a great boat but I would like something with a little more room in the berth. I'm probably gonna sleep on the boat occassionally

04-12-2009 10:54 PMThere's actually alot of room up there, it's very wide. I'm 6'0 and lay sideways with room to spare in the bed. My wife and I have stayed on the boat 2-3 days at a time on cumberland several times.
