That is quite a line up. If there were that many SVL's I wouldn't be able to stay away.

You could do a three-way comparison with some farm raised (yuck) salmon and the three wouldn't even taste/look like the same fish.

I would skip a Ruth Chris steak for a real wild caught north pacific salmon.

paul were did you go out of ? charter or friend ?
my dad used to charter with a partner. every now and then he would call and need some help. god i just hated all that rigging and bs. i always told him only if i can drive the boat. one time rigging, the first fish on and to the boat. i hit the fish on the side with the net and knocked it off the hook. the look on his face was priceless. need less to say i drove the rest of the day. oh we did get some fish, so no free be for them. lol.

How the heck do you tell them apart?????

    Mangrove Snapper Fishing

Mangrove Snapper or Gray Snapper are another common snapper that are caught while charter fishing. They are called Lutjanus Griseus by scientists. They have a gray color but most of the have a dark rust looking color. Their backs are usually darker or almost black looking as compared to the rest of their body. They have a red tint, sometimes. The anal fin is round. Their front teeth look like canines sticking down from the roof of their mouths. They are similar to the Cubera Snapper. Most of the Mangrove Snappers are 10 to 14 inches in length. We sometimes catch them close to 10 pounds. In 2008, we caught one that was 1 pound shy of the Alabama state record at 15.4 pounds.
