    #1
Trying to get down to Fort Myers to run around in my buddy's new to him Nortech cat.

Any ideas? Flying New Years day coming home on Sunday.

I can only find dlights for $1000 or more out of Toronto.

Also, where do you fly into when flying to Fort Myers?

I am sure some of you Florida guys know something......

Ft. Myers has an airport. You may get to Tampa for much cheaper. It's 1.5 to 2 hours from there by car.

I searched and Sunday is the problem. It's a big holiday weekend.
I put in Monday, and the price was cut in half.

As Craig mentioned, Tampa is a good alternative if FTM is no good. It's less than 2 hours drive.

check flights out of Buffalo. MY parents fly back and forth all the time. Check with SouthWest or Jet Blue. Flights are usually around $200-$225 round trip.
I believe the airport is called SouthWest Regional Airport.

Could also fly into Lauderdale (FLL) and shoot across Alligator Alley, done it many times and it's an easy drive.

definitly fly out of buffalo! whenever I go to florida I always do. it is cheaper to pay the gas and park and fly then pay the tax on a flight out of pearson. jetblue is the best way to go, however I flew out of ft lauderdale and back into west palm two weeks ago on southwest and us air and both we ontime, even with bad weather.

I'm flying Jan 5 out of Toronto $87 down and $105 back from Ft Lauderdale Jan 14.
I've checked Buffalo but it's hard to beat Air Canada's pricing .
You have to start looking at least a couple months ahead and check a couple times . Prices go up then down . I have Air Canada Captain friends and even they can't figure out the up and down pricing.
    Good luck .

Yah I decided not to go. Flights are too expensive and the timing means I would spend 1200 bucks for basically one day of riding around in the cat since I cant miss any time at work and need to fly for the weekend. Plus he is leaving it down there so there will be another chance soon.

Oh yah and telling him to take it easy is like trying to convert the Pope to Islam........I just want to try driving it myself...after the ride in your cat I have been very interested in the way the big ones run having never been in one.
