most new gps's will transfer loran#s to lat/long just keep in mind not all translate accurately

I thought they were being kept active until the failing GPS satellites can be replaced.

01-19-2010 06:54 PMPower and Motoryacht ( Feb 2010) said the Loran budget was not renewed and by the time you read this article the signal will be already turned off (early Jan was the cutoff date, magazine came in mail today).

wow did not know it was still on up here on the great lakes i thought it was off long ago and i have not seen a loran on a boat in more than 10 years
