Bullroar was a tender...so take your pick..
Offshore Racing wasn´t designed to be a spectator sport, it's for people or companies with's lots of money to push the envelope of endurance technology and hopefully put a trophy on a mantle. It's man vs the elements, not like boats with like engines running in circles.

Overall the show was somewhat lacking in what I’m interested in, but it was sort of ok. It was actually busier than I expected. The HP boats were scarce. Lot’s of CC and big cruisers. Nortech. MTI. Cig. Had some nice rigs. One Donzi. Statement had their boat on the water. Formula had some cruisers/pleasure boats, no HP’s from them. The vendors/booth count is down. Merc. had only a few OB’s and one IO with their new counter rotating set ups. Very small display. No blue motors at all and only a few sales reps. I wanted to talk to the Merc. boys and I was disappointed. No OL’s, One Fountain. No Baja’s, didn’t see any Velocity, AT’s, Pantara, So in short hardly any performance or HP oriented displays. I think the HP boat’s are done for the most parts. Sales are down, lot’s of lookers. Few buyers.
Reggie was dealing pretty heavily try to make sales. I talked to him a bit.
$40 - $50 Parking near the show was criminal. Good thing I know the area where I can park for 6 hours for $4 at a meter and just a short walk to the show.
Some pics.

That's different to see that triple Cig with two engines forward and one in the back. Wonder how that effects the ride, COG? I'm sure that wouldn't do it unless it helps in some way.

Half of those boats are used or customer boats including that Nor-Tech I believe.

11-01-2009 01:14 PMThe 427 Nortech is new and available. The 40 Cat is new but sold and being delivered after the show. The 39 CC is new but I don't remember if it is sold yet.
A lot of the other boats were customer boats/used but the builders don't want to build spec boats in a recession and I don't blame them. The Ferrari MTI needed the headers polished for sure, they were damn near gold. The two Donzi's that fastboats had I think were leftover inventory. The show was no where as busy as years past and absent from the Hi-Po dock was Fountain, OL, Formula go fasts (cruiser line was there) Sunsation (lack of local dealer, nearest dealer was 600 miles away) but a new addition "SeaQuest" cats was there, boat was a joke.
